Bob Hope didn't hate jews. Sammy Davis Jr. was one of his close
friends, they showed clips of them performing on the news in fact.
Sammy Davis was jewish. Don't believe all the propoganda you read.

Richard, I'm talking about Henry Ford. But Bob Hope, now that you mention
it, is a Jew-hater.

The rumor seems to be based on this film:

http://www.teemings.com/shorts/disney/years/1943/derfuehrersface.html

and on some accounts of Disney having attended some American Nazi party
meetings before the war.

I think the claims are very weak and not worth taking seriously.

It was one of those emails that keep flying around you know, "facts
you never knew". But hey, since we were throwing allegations around, I
figured, what the heck, here goes ;)

(No, Walt Disney was not a nazi sympathiser to the best of my
knowledge. I was never able to validate it)

(I found a web site that indicated he was rejected for service during WWI,
being only 16 at the time, so he joined the Red Cross and spent a year
driving an ambulance in France during the war.)

Re #42: Any idea why I can't find that page?

response 47 of 68: Mark Unseen   Aug 4 15:53 UTC 2003

Because it's been deleted. Google still points to it, but you can't get
it from cache even. Obviously part of a conspiracy.

This page tells a bit about the film and hasn't been deleted yet:

Ah. Here I thought the URL was messed up.

Yeah, that's definitely pro-Nazi propaganda. Hang him!

Weird. I went to that link right after Jan posted it, and watched the film.
