How could I not have a good time with Remmers? Single malt scotch, primo
cigars, tea and classic rags? And with the choice of one Remmers, I must
certainly get to meet Mary, and hear the house's favorite cello
solos. (She must be itching to perform, the Life Sciences Orchestra being
on hiatus.) I'll bring rosin and lapsang souchong?

I would say that I would like to meet md but I dont really want to meet
him because the mystery makes it fun.

It might be fun to meet brighn.

I think playing pool with oval would be a hoot. :)

on that point, what was the most fun was bringing in a bit of a
ragtime composition I'd done and watch him play further, working upon
that material.

I forgot a couple of people: grimaldi, steve weiss and senna.
I bet I still forgot some.

oval reminds me a bit of creature for those of you who remember her.
That is a good thing, really.

That does it. I definitely want to meet clees. I wouldn't mind
meeting a laundry list of other grexers too (already met both of
the remmers, one of 'em before she was a remmers), but clees is
the one who isn't on this continent very often.

maybe clees will take me on a late night bike tour of all the dangerous areas
of amsterdam ;P

clees
response 42 of 51: Mark Unseen   Jun 7 07:12 UTC 2002

Not very often, only the third time in five years. That ain't half bad.
heh heh
you Grexers move me

Oval, that might be fun.
But be warned: of all the biking Amsterdammers I am one of the few who
actually stops at a red traffic light or points direction before going
around a corner. Not to forget to have working lights on the bike, and
uses them. If the both of you like racing biking we can tour the
surroundings of Amsterdam.

well i think my moosclees are probably too mushy for racing but after i'm used
to biking again it sounds cool. cal used to bike a lot when he lived in
chicago. maybe you know of a place to purchase a cheap but decent bike ..

response 44 of 51: Mark Unseen   Jun 7 08:02 UTC 2002

Heh. I know my moosclees are rather too mushy for racing.. last time
I got on my bike to ride 2 mi to work, heh.. it was some work.

I say this because I used to ride.. and the mention of it brings such
fond, fond memories.. riding with the club at the local Schwinn.. the
Diabetes Bike-A-Thon..

Behind Central Station, oval, from a junkie is by far the cheapest way.
But I am pretty sure you don't mean that.
Well, Amsterdam has got loads of bicycle shops and bicycle repair
shops. The best shops in town, though, are Presto and Lohman. Lohman's
got a broader collection and also sells occassions.
Yet, I annually spend more than $ 700 there (on gear, stuff, gadgets
etc.)
jaklumen, I don't know where you live, but danr is the chairman of the
Ann Arbor biking club.

Yakima, WA.

response 48 of 51: Mark Unseen   Jun 17 15:20 UTC 2002

Wow. I don't think I've spent $700 on bicycling in my entire life, and that
includes a rather expensive Yakima roof rack I bought recently.

I still think it's funny when people ask me if the city I live in is
connected to that company.
