Could someone tell me, what, if anything, does it take to make humdog happy?

Good question.
The humdog is *never* happy. She may upon occasion be ever-so-slightly
pleased, but never "happy". It would ruin her.
Although there are a few WELL people, such that if they were in a bus and it
went over a cliff, well....

y'know - i've seen the humdog
in her great billowing black cape
grin out from under the drooping hood
and the grin was a point
a thin line of interest and persuasive candor
that rippled through her throes..
things that make humdog happy
are usually simplemad
and darkglisten
things that make pighed happy too.
let me list a few:
ancient sofas of recline
stilleto heels and razor blackjacks
ancient grecian pornography
modern aesthetics
and over-rated pomo rants that dribble into confused soliloquies.
Dark cliffs of ravenpatrol
where the piper plays a dirge
(pausing only long enough to smile with a wink)
the very best thinking and the very worst intentions
the dingiest pits of hell splashed onto heavenly white...
these are items of joy, but items that get a bit sharp
unless you like opening up your fingers on these ideas.

This trip through the topics brings up hurtful memories of
abandonment and alienation. Why or why doesn't humdog like
me?

Hey! Is that really Thanne? <enormous hug> Brenner
was spreading this discouraging rumor about you. But
she was apparently wrong. You are here. Say "hi" to
<humdog>, and if she say's "hi" back, you can pass it
on to me. That'll almost be like <humdog> talking to
me.
