i flew over hades last week. all steam and sulfurstink and big ravens bombing
at my propellers, and i thought, now this might not be such a bad landing strip
- there is, after all, a certain lathe afternoon strolling about. and i met
nero. the slug. and i met nebuchadnezzar (though i wasn't sure which one). and
i met nolde (he seemd most comfortable there) and i met nietzsche and i met
nicoteene (a lesser devil from the 7th or 8th plane) and they all liked the
pighed plane and they each gave me these gifts... so i pass them off for the
sake of passing..
(from nero) a thin knife of onyx and gilded goldleaf handle (for nephi)
(from nebuch) a harp with the thumb still attached for playing (brenner)
(from emile) a paintbrush flekked with phosphor (for tm)
(from fred) a measuring stick - increments of goathair (for humdogdear)
(from nicoteene) a little black sparkling sphere of mystic
that i leave here for the acetylineboy to find when he arrives.
