The debut album from Sin E', Steafan Hannigan's "progressive Irish"
folk band. I've mostly been aware of Hannigan as a bodhran player,
but he's mostly piping on this one.

Kristin Hersh Strings. This is tatstefuly executed orchestral
arrangements of songs off of her fabulous 1994 hips and makers, with
Kristin on vocals. I love it, it will make you laugh, it will make
you cry, just buy the damn thing.

Now that sounds odd. You wouldn't be pulling our leg, would you?
(Of course, I have an orchestral Deep Purple album, so...)
Pentangle, ANNIVERSARY, compilation from the reunion years.

The Best of Bluegrass (Dueling Banjos, Foggy Mountain Breakdown, etc)
Albert King / Mean Mean Blues
I havn't heard Dueling Banjos since the 1970s, and now that I hear it
again, it really is a cute little piece of bluegrass. I did see Deliverance
last year, and was surprised that I forgot that piece.

Dan Laurin, RECORDER GRAFFITI. Which doesn't seem to be the recording
I heard driving home earlier this week, but it's not bad; mostly solo
recorder, mostly classical.

re # 29 Now I'm not pulling anyones leg it's a fab CD and not a far stretch

iwth lost of acoustic guitar and cello.

The Poodles, UNLEASHED. A quartet of Boston area women doing old-timey
style, mostly, with a bit of bluegrass, balkan and Talking Heads cover
thrown in. When I got it three years agoI wasn't as much into that
sort of sound as I am today.

show on MSU's student radio.

A CBC special on the Rankin Family from Cape Breton.
Makes me wish I'd picked up their new anthology while I was in
Windsor yesterday.
