is it a chain<like down here> or just a place with the same name?
down here it isnt half bad, and they give you a tub of garlic butter
to dunk your crusts in, and some pepperonicis on the side.

Doesn't sound like the same place; "Papa X" is fairly common for pizza joints,
at least 'round here: Papa John's, Poppa Leo's, Papa Romano's (a Detroit chain
with one -- thank you gods -- outlet in East Lansing).

Papa Romano's has (or at least had) good stuff. My sister used to work
for them. Best thing was, they tended not to print expiration dates on
their coupons, so you could hoard good offers like "Large deep-dish with
two items for $10.99" for years and use them even after that was a
ludicrously low price.

But, Marc, is that exactly honest? Legal, yes, but honest?
Yes, Romano's is great. The prices, match, though. :-(

Honest? Depends on your conscience, I suppose. I have no qualms
about using coupons with no expiration date listed. Usually though
the hoarding bonus accrues to the coupon issuer because they usually
say "50c off" or somesuch instead of listing an absolute price for the
item.

In fact, if you hoard a 50c off coupon, it becomes less valuable through time.

Exactly, which is why the benefit accrues to the coupon issuer (they
have to "pay out" less as time goes by).

There used to be a deli in Plymouth, IN called Buffino's. Their regular-style
pizza was very good, but the chef liked to experiment. He came up with the
most delicious food I have ever tasted, and called it "Greg's White Chicken
Pie". It had a strange blend of Alfredo and sour cream for sauce, strips of
roasted chicken breast, bacon, onions, and a swiss/mozarella blend. I loved
it so much and ordered it so often that all I had to do after a while was dial
them up and say, "Pie, please," and they would give me my address and phone.
White Pie is the reason I moved back to Michigan weighing 222 pounds.

#0 asked for a man's point of view. Kenn almost always orders a QP w/cheese.
