There is a fascinating article in "Science Times" in today's NY Times
(section B) which analyzes the neocerebellar connection. This theory
took a long time to be accepted, but is now more widely accepted,
and the article describes it in some detail, with evolutionary considerations.

The cerebellum is not for motor skills alone, but there is a Language
and Planning connection there too.
