Woohoo! I'm from Kalamazoo! =) (For those who are geographically
challenged, this means I'm 45 minutes south of Carrie)

Another Carrie, but spelled right.
Hi Carrie. I too read your plan & you sound very interesting. I
especially empathize with the frustration in having to sleep v. wanting
to get things done.
I've introduced myself elsewhere, but fyi - i am in seattle (a non-grex-
local, but it's often felt otherwise) & a liberal studies major at the
U of Washington. & I've gone from being an out bi to being fairly
closeted and non-practicing. (waiting for the right girl... sigh...)

Kari, if just for the thrill of meeting another Grexer, we'd think it fun to
be able to visit you sometime. Julie and I are just 2 hrs. away.

Wow, cool! I just assumed you were in Michigan too. (although i thought
i read a post that you had visited seattle & thought "what a
coincidence!")Oh, and I have met a fellow grexer.. (way back when)
re 250: i guess i have found someone (it was the same person) if not
for circumstances...

RE # 253: I'm going to Eugine this summer. (I know it's not *that*
close to Seattle, but I just thought I'd mention it) I may insist on having
some kind of grexer bash either in San Fansisco or perhaps in Seattle where
ever I can get the most people to show up. :-) So stay tuned!
(I'll email you when I have a more firm date, btw...I'm here to
let you know in case you get freaked by getting a strange email from
this font- -starwanderer chick...;-)
I'm a semi-practicing lesbian at this point...not terribly political,
trying to get by in the real world... <yeah right>
(I say semi- because I'm not seeing guys but haven't found the right girl
yet...) I do visit my male friends and stuff but it's often difficult
to convince people that friends means not sleeping with. :-S
(I hate to proclaim this everywhere, but it's gotten to be nessasairy...
more for the women than the men, "ironically".)

I know exactly how you feel, Vanessa. I get that whole line of,
"You and <insert male name here> get along so well and are always
together. You should date!" Well, I'm not dating anyone right now,
and waiting for the right person has been fun. I'm also getting
sick of the "are you bi or lesbian"? It changes daily, and I'm
tired of putting labels on love. I just say I'm open-minded. =)

re #255: please make it Seattle, Vanessa, please? don't have enough dough
for San Francisco.

Another vote for Seattle, of course! I, too, cannot possibly go to san
fran any time soon, Jon.
sarah, reminds me of a song (of course everyone knows it, but)
everyone's all asking are you in or are you out... i just want more
than one membership to more than one club.
that's always been one of my favorites by ani. (saw her in concert
this summer. also a very good show - she rocks! did you know she's
*married* now. very cool, imo. i like that attitude- not caring what
others think but doing what makes you happy. if only i could learn...)

Since I'm a bisexual who is newly out of the closet, I keep hearing "horror
stories" about how people think that, if you get married to a MOTOS you have
been "cured." Is that true? If it is, that would really burn my bacon. It's
like somebody is taking away my right to choose.
For myself, I'm a one-partner-at-a-time person. I have problems dividing my
attention between more than one thing at a time so, if I was as promiscuous
as bisexuals are suppose to be, I would be having problems. Just because one
is getting married to, or dating, a MOTOS would not obviate the inclinations
of the body.
Okay, I'm done. Sorry, but I had to get that off my chest. I know it's
totally off the subject.

Julie - by saying that you are no longer bisexual because you are
married is like saying that your hair is no longer whichever color
it happens to be. Bisexuality is a part of *you* and nothing can
change that. The only thing that changes is that when you see an
attractive man or woman, you won't *do* anything about it (besides
drool). ;-)

#263 only applies to people who are both married and monogamous, of course.
Those of us who are married but non-monogamous do more than drool.
