I recently hearrecently heard that styxx is back together for a concert.
Heard it on the Arrow, 94.7 FM in Washington, DC. Now, I would like to see
them. I always loved their harmonies!

I recall 94.7 in Washington being a "Lite" music station when I was last
living there, in 1985. Is that what it is now?

response 232 of 255: Mark Unseen   Jun 11 23:21 UTC 1996

No....classic rock! A kickin' station! And when I moved, I found Arrow 94.9
FM from Roanoke which also plays classic rock...wonder if they are the same
company?
omni
response 233 of 255: Mark Unseen   Jun 12 04:37 UTC 1996

That's WSLQ from Roanoke, which was my refuge from all that dad-blamed
country that so permeates your farm.

Listen to me well, all you who are venturing into that state--
There are no less than 4 fire and brimstone, you will burn in hell if you
don't love the Lord, evangelists on FM broadcasting on weekdays. The rest of
the stations are country music, except for WSLQ, which plays classic rock as
freida mentioned. Best to leave the radio home, or off whichever is more
convienient.

Also, Don't let either of the kids near your radio. They will, within
nanoseconds of being near the tuning dial change it to that *&^%$ country
station in Beckley, and raise the volume so that it can be heard as far as
Morgantown (a good 300 miles away). Don't say you weren't warned. ;)

FM stations rarely have more than a 75 mile range, if that. The reason is
the transmitter output power.

actually I think arrow 94.7 in DC just re-formatted again...too much
competition in classic rock so its now top 40 or something..

Worse still, Virginia law forbids fuzzbusters.
omni
response 236 of 255: Mark Unseen   Jun 13 05:45 UTC 1996

so do moral ones as well. I firmly believe that it's immoral to have a
fuzzbuster. Of course, I am a professional driver, what else would you expect
me to say?
gull
response 237 of 255: Mark Unseen   Jun 13 17:52 UTC 1996

The *fuzzbuster* isn't immoral, it's how you use it. I can't think of
any moral use for one, however. ;)

Scanners that tune police frequencies are also illegal to install in cars in
Michigan, unless you have a permit or an amateur radio license.

Up on the rooooooooooooof! Oh, I hear the Drifters singing, and that means
we are drifting from the topic, namely "Mood Music For Grexers." Anyway, I'll
be opening an item in Spring Agora to continue discussing the pros and cons
of fuzzbusters. Now, back to "Mood Music For Grexers," please.
bruin

The fuzzbuster discussion may be continued in Spring Agora 108. Back to "Mood
Music For Grexers" in this conference.

You're not alone doll -- I would've killed to see that concert had I known
about it. We have a Ticketmaster in Gaylord, but no concert schedules for
the Palace or Pine Knob. <???>
