I am bummed because this lady came into our department who stinks with
this nasty perfume and now I have a headache because of it. Everytime
this happens, I remember how when I was a teenager and even into my
early 20's, I used to wear lots and lots of perfume and probably made
all kinds of other people sick and bothered even more people. I feel I
am being punished for that now.

That's right folks, I believe in perfume Karma. But, I have a secret
smell weapon to get back at the people who wear too much perfume /hee

Chew garlic. (It has been discovered that powdered garlic put on the
food of a dog that has "dog's breath" will eliminate the dog's breath,
so I guess if *you* have dog's breath, it will take care of that.)

The extra day is because Michigan taxes are being sent to massachusetts this
year. April 15 is a state holiday here (Patriot's day) and therefore the
post offices are closed, I think? Anyway, hence the extra day.
I'm mildly bummed that I've accomplished so little science in the past year.
I've done a fair amount of Things, but they all wind up wandering off into
dead ends, so when I try to put together a presentation on the stuff that
worked, it's depressingly short and looks like I've been slacking off for a
year. (Which is partly true, but not to the extent it looks like.)

re #233- so, if you eliminate a dog's breath does that kill the dog?
<grins> Or if you just make it not dog breath anymore, what does it
become?

Apparently, the dog does not die from garlic. The garlic contains a
protein thaat is germicidal for dog mouth bacteria. Maybe for human
mouth bacteria too, come to think of it.

Lawyers have begun copyrighting their legal briefs.

I thought BVD already had that copyright.

lynne, take a page from Edison's book: Include the stuff that _didn't_ work.

#234> Lawyers copyrighting their briefs? What effect will this have on case
law if their briefs are part of the public record in a published case? My
head now hurts.

Hm. I bought some briefs the other day, but there was no
copyright notice on them.

Not so. Under every single Micky Mouse there is that itsy-bitsy
symbol. You must have to get your face up really close to read it.

IBB I have to move my cube today and I have a lot of junk. I am kind of
laughing because I remember when I first started working here I taped a
photograph to my monitor and felt that was all the personal stuff I
would need. /sigh.
