Yes, kt8k did "Louie Louie" and "Who do you love" on mandolin, complete with
the original solos *and* Elvis hip motion.

And I'd like to thank n8rxs, who showed up as a guest didjeruist.

I was blown away by the talent. Ben Helmke did an incredible job
with the Twain. He didn't do a reading - he *did* Twain. Amazing.
And I had no idea Scott and Dave were so good on guitar. Jenna
and brighn's poetry left me wanting for more. Grace Lovelace has
the perfect delicate-toned voice for "Titwillow". And I don't
know anyone else who would do a solo trumpet performance and
pull it off so well (flem). Thanks again to all who performed.

sigh ... i stoppd by about 10:41p. it was, of course, all over. then
saw scg on south u. and we chatted aboutit. he was trying to shed pete's
of quarters for machine purposes. he did. then i decided that since i
was 'there' i'd play on the corner for a while. drew a minor crowd but
nothing like great group of grexers.

You showed up seven hours and forty-one minutes late? That's gotta be a Grex
record.

By the standards of the pagan rituals and festivals I've attended,
that's only moderately late. >8)

I'm so sorry I wasn't able to perform or attend. A major family
health crisis has occupied most of my time and energy for the
last couple of weeks, unfortunately. I'm glad the event was so
successful, though!

Not just vegetable mathematics, but almost entirely organic vegetable
mathematics, at that! *My* calculus teacher, some 27 years ago, wasn't so
creative. (And I *loved* calculus, I hasten to add.)

I still hope aruba's proof will be published, even if without musical
accompaniment. I can't remember it well enough. "Diligence, diligence
... as the rhubarb approaches the asparagus, so the radish approaches
the kumquat"?

Hey, if there's a 2nd annual grex talent show next year, I promise I'll be
around for it; I'm definately NOT doing the camp thing next summer, so I'd
perform.
