I saw the Grinch with my mother last night, and ***LOVED*** every minute of
it. Jim Carrey was wonderful, and it was snowing when we came out. I give
it 4 out of 4. They did a good job adding to the story and you don't even
mind the additions in Seuss rhyme to the story to help it along in the new
parts. Actually, I liked the part where the Grinch cries out that he even
hates christmas because it makes him rhyme. Very very very good.

Okay, I haven't seen this movie yet, but my son did. He came homne and said
there was a lot of sexual jokes, and a lot of photos of the little girls ass
and a lot of people grabbing each others butts.
Now what has that got to do with the Grinch.

I beg your pardon? There were NO sexual jokes. No one showed their ass, with
the exception of the Grinch with a piece of mistletoe over it, and no little
girl's asses.
Perhaps you should see it and figure it out. It was good enough for a 3 yr
old to see.

is coming out on DVD soon. Without The Rutles, there would be no

Okay, This is Bruce's son. When the grinch burped, farted ect. They made
sexual innuendos alot near the end, and remember when the old ppl first found
the grinch? At the whoobalation? They were getting drunk adn feeling each
others booties. Also, when the little girl was climbing the steps, and in two
more direct instances, they zoomed in on that adorable little girls ass. Me
and the mother i went with thought that was totally disgusting.
Okay, this is me again. So is this true or not?

I have yet to see the movie yet, but maybe you are putting too much into this?
I mean, it is easy to do, but that may be just your interpretation, not
several million other people. And if it is, please do not talk to the stupid
people about this.

Ron Howard knows a cash cow when he sees it. for the life of me I can't
figure out how they made a 90 minute movie out of a 30 minute cartoon.
This is anohter movie in a long line of remakes that prove hollywood has few
original ideas.

I have an even harder time imagining Ted Guisel's estate approving such
a rendition of "The Grinch", though I haven't seen the movie, so I will have
to withhold comment on the assgrabbery therein.

It was a 22 minute carton. Commercials removed.
It takes about 12 minutes to read the book to someone.
I got the Fantasia DVD box set yesterday. Watched Fantasia 2000
and enjoyed seeing it again. Then spent at least another 4 hours watching
supplemental material for Fantasia 2000. Fantasia 1940 is next to view.

I saw the Grinch movie yesterday. I didn't like it as much as the other
respondents; it focused a lot on the Grinch's personality, which was
pretty negative. That was probably 75% of the movie.
There were a couple of "butt" lines (the Grinch holding mistletoe over
his behind) which I'd prefer not to have in a movie that I took my 4
year old to. There were some close-ups of cleavage of the Grinch's love
interest. There was no explicit sexual content, and little to no
profanity.
The cartoon is a classic. The movie is not a classic. It was okay, but
I'd rather have watched the cartoon.

I haven't seen the Grinch, but after Ebert & Roeper's review, I probably
won't, at least not until the dollar shows. They roundly panned it.

#240 was directed at someone else, but I'll field it: their "thumbs up/
thumbs down" opinion? No, I can make up my own mind.. But generally a
review has other information in it, less subjective and more factual, and
that may help me judge the likelihood that I'll enjoy the movie. Too,
when you've read enough reviews by a given reviewer you can usually form
a reliable general idea of what sorts of criticism from that reviewer you
are likely to agree with and what you can disregard..

Finally rented and got to see the movie "The Patriot" yesterday. Except for
my daughter who had seen the movie in the theater sitting there and going This
next scene is so gross... we all seemed to enjoy it. Anderyn didn't watch
it.

No, the title is indeed "Tromeo & Juliet". It's based on Shakespeare's "Romeo
& Juliet", but with a lot more sex and gore. And more body piercings, too.

My general rule regarding reviewers is that if the review is by
Christopher Potter (of the Ann Arbor Snooze), I'll do exactly the
opposite of what he says. I've enjoyed most of what I've seen that he
panned. I don't know about the other way, I'm not sure he's ever given
something a good review.
