"Yo! MTV Raps: The CD". I picked it up at Wazoo's yesterday for the nostalgia.

Primus "Sailing the seas of cheese" I like it better than their new
CD "Pork Soda" it's decent musicaly but not incredible.

now I'm listening to the Judgement Night soundtrack. I guess I'll get
out of this item and stick something in the JN item.

Right now, at this moment....

The moonlight sonata. I really had forgotten how depressing this was.

Depeche Mode has a single with the Moonlight Sonata on it, for anyone
interested. :)

That should be bizarre, to say the least.

seriously - it's on the Little 15 single, available in many fine record stores.

It's Alan Wilder (one of the members of DM) playing the piano... playing
the Moonlight Sonata. Nothing special, although he does do an excellent
job.

(for more interesting DM trivia, mail me. :)

<sigh>

I listened to the new MC Ren album (_Shock_Of_The_Hour_) last night, and
it sounds better and better every time, even if it's almost all rehash of
what the rest of NWA put out after the break-up.

Ani DiFranco "Out of Range" very good tape in the women with acoustic
guitar who is an angry yet sensitive poet genre of music.

The Ukranians, VORONY. Much improved over the debut.

Bongwater "Double Bummer" Groovy neo-punk (for old times sake).

No respone for over a month. Either time to kill this item and start a
new one, or no one is listening to music these days.

Friends of Harry, SIX DAYS OF MADNESS. Yet another generic UK folk-rock band.

Loorena McKennitt. Celtic middle eastern fusion. A very interesting
album, she has a decent voice, and the album features instruments like the oud,
cello, fiddles, dumbek etc. I would recommend this Cd to anyone.
Actualy the spelling is Loreena. Also the sound is somewhat
Dead Can Dance like but less pretentios and more Celtic sounding.

Of her albums, only the recent one (The Mask and Mirror) has a middle
eastern flavor. The rest is very Celtic.

Unfortunately, she garbles just about all of the song "Bonnie Swans."
I can't imagine how they let that get on the album that way. I have
no idea what she's singing. I could look up the poem, I guess.
