I'd suggest an email conversation among the BOD and staff members to
schedule a meeting, then post date, place, and agenda here.
Traditionally the president posts the agenda, but there isn't a
president now, so an I guess an ad hoc approach will have to do at this
stage. Keep in mind that board meetings are open to the public.
Good luck!

That approach hasn't generated a lot of traction. Hence, the public plea.
To the Grex community: A lot of you know the board members personally. If
you have that kind of rapport with them, would you *please* *please* *please*
ask them to login and/or respond to their board email?

Yeah, I noticed, too, that not too many people responded to the email...
I don't remember how many people are on the board; can we at least get
some kind of quorum together and get down to business?
Until I know when I'll be discharged from my partial hospitalization
trreeatment program, I can't guarantee being to a meeting on time on a
weeknight, as sometimes I don't finish up til 7-8:00. I hope that I'll
be finished sometime in the next week or two but I don't know for sure.
Usually I have the weekend off from the program [except I had to go in
for the day yesterday], so if we do something in the next couple weeks,
maybe a weekend date would be best for me.

What can we do to make the meeting more fun so people would want to
attend? Maybe a potluck or something?

A potluck wouldn't be such a great idea because some people are so poor
that they might actually start stealing the food. Ya know, not all of
us can qualify for mensa only to end up asking other people to pay for
their grex membership!

So who's going to pick a date, time, and place, and just get on with
this? I know I've asked about it multiple times in various
items/conferences and to specific people.
It's not like there's absolutely NO interest in keeping this board and
system going. This is my first time on the board thus, am asking for
whatever protocal is needed. Or not needed.

I hope so. I mean hell, if grex wanted a dumbass to help with the daily
operations, then they should have put nharmon on staff.

What good would that do if I post the blueprints to the attack on m-net?
Remember, unitard tried this approach and failed miserably. Geeze, once again,
you failed to learn something. What a shocker. I mean, hell, I wouldn't
guessed it from some 10 year perl veteran that codes on the following level
#12 Nathan Harmon [nharmon] (11) (Mon, May 26, 2008 (15:55)):
nathan@pythagoras ~/temp > cat > stupid.pl
my $worldpac = "5"."0";
my $butt = 5;
print "It treated them as ";
print $butt == $worldpac ? "the same." : "different.";
print "\n";
^C
nathan@pythagoras ~/temp > perl ./stupid.pl
It treated them as different.

So the Board will meet at 7:00pm tomorrow (Sep 9) evening? Where?
I have two suggestions for the agenda: an election of officers, and
scheduling a special election to replace Jan.

OK, we're going to try to meet tonight at 6:30, at 32 55 Cardinal Drive.
Sorry for the short notice. Hopefully this will be a preliminary meeting to
set up a regular schedule again.

We did have a meeting last night, and in my opinion, it was quite productive.
Sure, we didn't follow the correct protocol for it (in terms of laying out
the agenda before hand, etc) but in getting back on track, you've got to start
somewhere, and we did do that.

I'm glad the Board met. I look forward to seeing what it did but am
sure some good things happened. I would have liked for it to have
touched all the bases and made sure it followed all of the right
procedures, but if the first two things happened, I'll take that.
Thanks for pulling things together.
