You could spit for an audience (hopefully not on the audience) at the recital.

what the heck was that song with "sucking on ice cubes in four-four time"
as one of the hook-lines?

Any more volunteers for the Grex recital? I don't think we have
a full plate by any means yet.

Aw, John, I could go on for hours by myself...
you and I could hold a debate about grass length, that would be the whole
recital. 8^)

I'm sure you could go on for hours, as could I. I'd like to
see lots of performers, though, for a "Grex Recital".

this item has been linked to the poetry conference
<I read brighn's mind. I can do that. I stole
a whole batch of his neurons> I *want* to go!
But I have to know when and where it is well in advance
to get a ride. I'd be willing to perform too...I like performing.
I have poetry and short prose...if I can dig any of that up

I haven't forgotten this item, really. ;-) It's just that
mail to the participants isn't going out for another
two or three weeks and I'd rather this not go the way of
the High School Prom - planned to death.

Tomorrow I'll be reviewing this item taking note of those who have
volunteered to perform. Those folks will get mail asking for
confirmation and details as to what they'll be doing and how
long they'll need. So, if you've been debating doing something
for the fun of it, now is the time to jump in.

Hope you can make it nephi!

Yep, coming up. The lineup so far has 11 people performing on a
a variety of instruments as well as voice and recital. The program
should run about two hours, maybe a little longer.

What I could really use at this point is a sort of head count
of those who will be attending to make certain we'll have enough
seating. Also, I'd like to know how many folks would be interested
in dinner at Uno's afterward, with reservations at 5:30.

If you'd either respond here or in mail I'd appreciate the
information.

has it happened yet? i can pull off a excellent Mozart violin concerto #3 in
G or a mediocre Mendelssohn eminor if people are still needed... and if ti
isn't too far from rochester or troy... or mebbe for one later this summmer.
anyone ever thought about doing a play all together, by the way?

response 172 of 236: Mark Unseen   May 30 00:25 UTC 1996

whether its a success or not depends on if anyone can get Popcorn to
sing either "You light up my life" or "I will always love you"
bruin
response 173 of 236: Mark Unseen   May 30 00:36 UTC 1996

RE #172: Kerouac, is that the Dolly Parton version of "I Will Always Love
You," or the Whitney Houston rendition?
kerouac
response 174 of 236: Mark Unseen   May 30 00:39 UTC 1996

The whitney huston version of course...the dolly parton version wouldnt
test popcorn's vocal range enough!
