I happen to be a big fan of Willie Nelson, and Duane Eddy.

Yeah, I love Garth Brooks's music, and I can tolerate some of George Strait,
but otherwise I wouldn't call myself a country fan.

If you like jazz check out Louis Armstrong. He is a man who could swing.

i am in deep spiritual torment because there is no accordion
conference here. brenner wants to start one.

you must understand that the accordion is an instrument that has
suffered from social oppression, because it was the instrument
of choice of midwestern farmers .

i do not know how we can take the lack of an accordion conference
so lightly.

BEAMS,

I really don't know what to do! An accordian .cf? Hmmmmm(tm).

The accordion is a metaphor for
the social interaction on the online conferencing system.
How we treat our accordion conference hosts
reflects upon how we treat our real
musical instruments (violins, violas and violincellos)
and ultimately, how we treat ourselves.

Welcome to Grex, Morena! You keep coming back to music here to see what
has been added. You already got here once, so I'm not worried you'll be
able to find your way back.

In my opinion...nothing, absolutely NOTHING beats a hardcore death metal riff.
Bands like Slayer, Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Carcass, DRI, Entombed,
Disincarnate etc.... will NEVER be replaced. HEAVY RIFFAGE..YAAAAAAAA!!!

Just logging on for the first time and looking at much of the variety of music
everyone seems to enjoy here brings me somewhat of a sigh of relief. The area I
presently live in (en route to west side Houston..hated the commute) is not
we:help ? (sorry for typos..). As I was saying.. tis area is not well noted for
its musal library. I tend to go the full spectrum as some others, enjoying
everything from world beat, to funk rock. I don't usually get caught listening
to radio now as things are seemingly beginning to clone one the 90's pop music
forefront. I listen to bands like Gingbread men, Brave Combo, Goodfoot,
Fishbone, 311, Funk Haus, Vova Nova, Phish (17 shows to present date), James
Brown, P-funk, Muddy Waters, and Primus to name a few.
To anyone who might be a 311 fan I was wondering.... I only have Grassroots at

the moment and wondered hpw many albums they have made so far in total.
Also to the Willie nelson fan....I thought he was at his peak during his R&B
days...songs such as "Whisky River" I still replace in my collection when the
tape begins to fold <G>.

Welome to the music conf! One hint - word wrap is not implemented, so
please try to hit return when you get near the right side of your screen.

Out of your list I like Fishbone, Primus, P-Funk, etc. Not sure if there
are items for those or not. Feel free to start your own item by
typing Enter at the Ok: prompt.

I dunno of anybody else, but I know I'm deffinitly into rave, techno, and
dance. Like Plastikman, Acid Pimp, Jeff Mills, you know that kinda thing.
Those rank number one in my listening category. However, I like everything
and I mean everything. I especially like to do freestyle reggae (anyone heard
of it?) I dunno I just flow when it comes to reggae.

Yeah, it's too bad world beat is kind of dying (if not yet dead), since thta
is about the only music I can ever be found dancing to.

response 170 of 202: Mark Unseen   Jul 22 23:40 UTC 1995

Hmm.. I'm kindof against techno, dance, country, world beat, bluegrass, and
r&b and rap. I'll stick to classical and rock.

response 174 of 202: Mark Unseen   Sep 13 23:39 UTC 1995

This is direct from my plan...

Let's see...oh! Favorite musical artists? I like a wide variety, so if
you ever travel with me, I'll be endlessly flipping radio stations. I'm
also one of those people who sings along with the radio, but I have a good
voice, so don't worry. ;) I love the band Rush (dying to see them in
concert), George Clinton and the P-Funk, Dead Can Dance, Sarah McLachlan, Pet
Shop Boys, the Moody Blues, the Grateful Dead, Live, Van Halen, Tori Amos,
Enya, Deep Forest, CCR, U2, The Shamen, Jimi Hendrix, the Doors, Pink Floyd,
2 Unlimited, Duran Duran, the Pogues, the Cure, Primus, Lords
of Acid, Depeche Mode, anything from the eighties, (except Tiffany, Debbie
Gibson, etc), classical, some opera, techno (I LOVE dancing), and even some
disco. I also like oldies, and listen to them when I want to get *happy*.
=) Forties music is also a HUGE favorite of mine, and if anyone ever asks me
to jitterbug with them, I'm there! =) My favorites are Glenn Miller,
Benny Goodman, and Count Basie. Swing music rules!!! =)

I think that about sums it up... ;)
