i'm taking a self defense class- one day we were working on
how to get out of grabs... So my wrists are all bruised up.
Then last night we were using these big stick/club things.
Normally they use canes that are hollow- last night we were
using fighting sticks... And I was defending myself with one
and the guy came at my- I struck out to hit him and then the
stick bounced off his arm and hit me in the left eyebrow...
well, right below it... So I'm feeling bruised and battered.
I'm feeling better now... a bit. I don't have a black eye- just
this cool grey smudge that looks like funky eyeshadow (or so
my boss told me)

I know how you feel with that self defense class... I'm taking kung fu myself
You definatley end up feeling brusied and battered.. Sifu keeps trying to
figure out a way to put me in a head lock where I can't hurt him... hasn't
gotten it yet...

Something like that... <grin> I actually hurt the
instructor last time... <giggle> He said I wasn't doing it
right and grabbed my wrist, so I got out of it and in the process
hurt his thumb... <heh>
