not the Time, not The Del Fuegos. Here's another hint: their
ex-manager later put together a similar group using another
race. The other group enjoyed greater initial success, but
has yet to show the enduring appeal.

this ISN'T that hard.

one of the band members struck out on a solo career before the
group broke up. his first album was a dud commerically, but the
second album, featuring production by Teddy Riley of Guy, was
a huge success. since that album, he has married the daughter of
a gospel singer and has a child.

three of the lesser-regarded members formed a group of their own.
the group name is a play off of their last names. to date, they've
released three albums (one was a remix album), and even had a recent
movie named after one of their songs.

another member of the group was at one time giving Sugar Ray Leonard
voice lessons.

Well, I'm pretty much just guessing Boston bands at this point. Could it
be the J. Geils (sp?) band?

The only group I can think of named after their own last names
is Bel Biv Davoe. (sp?) And I know nothing about them.

If the right answer is New Edition, then yes, it's Bobby Brown.

the group is New Edition... but my source tells me it wasn't
Bobby Brown. I"ll have to double-check against another source.
