Maybe it's just me, but PT Cruisers seem to be disproportionately likely to
have a custom licence plate, compared to other makes & models.

Could be. Could just be that their plates are more likely to be
self-referential. But I did see M1ATA on a Mazda convertible two-seater
today.

accessory I have seen on cars. More often than not, they look
unbelievably stupid. Next, I think, are some custom wheels,
especially some that look like wagon spokes and make the tires rubber-
band thin.
