re resp:119 Probably things of little interest to you- 2 Honey Bunch
books, Bride and Prejudice (the movie), YARN!!, a few books to keep or
trade and more yarn. Philly has some very nice yarn stores and she can
get stuff that I could never find here in Lansing.

"Bride and Prejudice" is a great flick....my favorite line remains "My brother
turns into the Indian M.C. Hammer".

Dave does not agree with any of my assessments.

Haven't gotten a chance to watch it- but I'm really looking forward to
it. :)

Is this a recent film? I haven't heard of it.

Fairly recent- it's an Indian take on Pride and Prejudice, from what
I've been told.

I think it was released in 2005.

Re 133 That's it, spot on. It was made by Gurinder Chadha ("Bend It Like
Beckham").

Oh, I loved thtas movie. Now I'll have to see this one. DId we watch
"Bend it Like Beckham" via On Demand, or was that "Meghan Machine"?

:Mean Machine" I think. I don't think we saw "Bend It Like Beckham" at
the same time.

I *love* Mean Machine...but then, I love Vinnie Jones. I can't wait to see
him in the new X-Men.

Yeah yeah yeah!! Vinnie! Apparently has the record for the first red
card given in a match (so I hear).

response 141 of 563: Mark Unseen   Jan 18 16:43 UTC 2006

(er, that wasn't quite clear- I mean that he has the record for the
earliest red card given in any one game- not that he got the first one
ever. Think, type, post... )

He's also apparently in a movie called 'She's the Man' that seems to
have a teenage girl masquerading as a boy. I think soccer is involved too.

I'm happy because Manami is finally over her first cold and rejoined
her "Kodomo Swim" (children's swim) class today. She inhaled her
lunch upon returning home then promptly fell asleep.

I suppose the return to normal exercise routine will bring an end
to the late night performances we've enjoyed this week. Last night
she did an especially interesting interpretive dance to the music
of the Cranberries "No Need to Argue"
