Hey, Ken, welcome back..
Believe it or not, I'm listening to the "Nuns on the Run" soundtrack..
(basically, though, that amounts to listening to a Yello album..)

Wow, I didn't realize that was Yello! I really like the movie...
Well, I was going to say I was listening to the silly music that
goes with the silly new Amiga game I've been playing constantly,
but when I loaded the game, it took over the machine, and I had
to reboot to get my terminal back (most Amiga programs multitask,
but this game, being British, doesn't). Anyway, this silly music,
that goes with the game Operation Lemming, has been running through
my head constantly all week long.

Iggy Pop -- "Lust For Life", though I can't listen to it nearly as
loud as it should be played since it's 4AM and my housemates wouldn't
be amused..

(even worse, there's a "Hooligan" song by The Smiths, written by
the flamboyantly homosexual (and even more annoying than Tim) Morrissey
I'm sure if Tim knew he'd feel discriminated against..)

Is that Loud Family record worth getting? I've been hearing good
things about it...

I like it so far.. I'm of mixed opinion regarding the Game Theory
stuff I've heard -- I like some of it but some of it leaves me cold.
This is closer to the Game Theory material that I like.. Some of the
songs are a little annoying but out of 20-some songs that's not a
huge burden..

I'd sure like to hear the Loud Family album... of course, I suppose I could
open up the Game Theory CD that came out of a bargain bin last year...
The Albion Band, "Rise Up Like The Sun". CD reissue with four bonus tracks.
One is an otherwise-unrecorded Richard Thompson song, with Linda Thompson
on guest vocals, but that one's not all that wonderful; the tracks from
late 70's singles are very good.

I'd be happy to loan either of you the Loud Family album if you're
interested.. In addition the band's bassist, Rob Poor, works for NeXT
and regularly sends mail about the band (if you want to hear about
what's going on with them send him mail and ask to be added to the list..)
(I think that Rob_Poor@next.com will reach him..) (most of the mail I
get from him isn't of much use to someone outside of the Bay Area like
notices of upcoming gigs and asking anyone who wants to show up for the
filming to be in their video..)

I have all sorts of Byrds stuff you can borrow if you like, Ken..
they're one of the few "classic rock" groups I still listen to these
days (not that I have any particular gripe with 60's rock but I'm
just passing through a different phase at the moment..)
I'm about to put on "Birth of a Legend", a collection of early
Bob Marley / Wailers tunes from their pre-reggae, ska years..

Might take you up on that, Mike. What I really need is a good history
of the Byrds to put them in perspective. I actually have about half
a dozen Byrds items but no real coherent view of the band's career.
Dave Edmunds, "Information". Leslie's loot from the Tower sale.
