I would venture to guess that myope is a name for one who is
myopic. Just a guess anyhow.

A myope is (as aa8ij noted) a near sighted person. It is in almost all
my dictionaries. First "synch", now "myope". Wassamatter, Steve,

I noticed a sudden lack of interest near the end of that game.
I wonder whether many of the contestants were fooled by the string
of 1's produced by words starting with ma...
It certainly might have tempted one to jump to an unfortunate conclusion.
For a really "Joe Blow" word, that was pretty confusing.

There is, of course, a large random element here. It is easy to slip
off into a confusing path (rut). It was "fleas" that unlocked the gate.
