OK, I can prove it using these scores:
element 0 (aruba)
summary 0 (brighn)
menfolk 0 (aruba)
earmark 2 (blaise)
pincers 0 (gelinas)
panders 2 (aruba)
manager 1 (aruba)
younger 1 (gelinas)
harmful 5 (blaise)
score(element) = 0 => score(e--m---) = 0,
score(summary) = 0 => score(----ar-) = 0, and
score(menfolk) = 0 => score(------k) = 0, so
score(earmark) = 2 => score(-ar----) = 2.
score(pincers) = 0 => score(p-n-ers) = 0,
2 = score(panders) = score(p-n-ers) + score(-a-d---)
= 0 + score(-a-d---), so
score(-a-d---) = 2.
Therefore score(-ard---) = 3.
1 = score(manager) = score(m-na---) + score(-a-----) + score(----ger)
= score(m-na---) + 1 + score(----ger)
=> score(m-na---) = score(----ger) = 0.
Also, since score(-ard---) = 3, score(-oun----) = 0. So
1 = score(younger) = score(y------) + score(-oun---) + score(----ger).
= score(y------) + 0 + 0
=> score(y------) = 1.
So score(yard---) = 4, => score(y--d---) = 2 => score(h--m---) = 0.
Therefore
5 = score(harmful) = score(h--m---) + score(-ar-ful)
= 0 + score(-ar-ful)
=> score(-ar-ful) = 5
=> score(yardful) = 7.

yardful 7 (aruba) ---> Ding! Ding! Ding! Winner!
Well, that was fairly painful to wade through...;) I figured once
harmful 5 and younger 1 were scored it was pretty much all over.
This word was available on ARTFL or any dict server (dict -s regexp
'^.ar.ful$') with the 1913 Webster's dictionary.
From Webster's Revised Unabridged Dictionary (1913) [web1913]:
Yardful \Yard"ful\, n.; pl. {Yardfuls}.
As much as a yard will contain; enough to fill a yard.
Good detective work, aruba, your word!

I have a feeling Joe knew what it was but didn't want to get it right. :)
I'm thinking of a 7-letter word that's not
yardful 0 (lastword)
