re 119: sarcasm anyone?

Okay, I heard "Rock Me Amadeus" (only breifly, I turned it off quickly).
Normally I like eighties music, but that song just... like finger nails
on a chalk board.

Happily, I remember "Rock Me Hot Potatoes" more easily than
the original. >8)

Re 117 - The original version of Tom's Diner is still one of
my favorite Suzanne Vega songs. Can't stand that techno-remake
though.

There was also _Rock Me I'm A Dentist_, _Rock Me Jerry Lewis_, _Eat Me I'm
A Danish_, and _Rock Me Mo Khadaffi_ (btw, the song was big in 1986, arounf
the time of the bombing of Libya).

Here we had "Rock ME Sammy Davis". HE was still alive then, y'know.

<chokes randall> Now it's in my head!!! Thanks a lot!! ;)
Talk about cheesy remakes...the second version of "The Safety Dance" and that
STUPID techo-pop remake of "Total Eclipse of the Heart".

My friends and I go to a club in DC on Thursday night that plays all those
80s dance music/early progressive--Safety Dance, Rio, 99 Red Balloons, etc.
The place is packed by 10 pm.
