I'd think it might be worth reading, if it had a weird enough title :)
I always hate to discover that some great "underground" magazine I've been
told about is a mass of glossy graphic design.

Re #125: "Respond or Pass" is pretty weird; almost asking you to say
something back !! (Wich is exactly what we want, eh?)

Well, at least "respond or pass" allows the reader to get used to
a prompt they'll see no end of, if they log on, and use PicoSpan..

Bingo! And familiar things are comfortable, therefore they would be more
likely to stay. Therefore we ought to pick that title!! :-)

Current vote status:
The Grex Connection: 15
Tales from the Dungeon: 13
Drift: 13
Respond or Pass?: 12
Breakfast Food of Champions: 8
depermitted votes: 4
This is a tight race; 4th place is withing 3 votes of tying for first, and
there are 4 votes that we cannot know; in a sense, it is within our margin
of error!! As I understand it, we have about 8000 active accounts that could
theoretically cast votes, and only 65 have, so it is obviously still anyione's
ball game. Thanks to those who voted, and if you haven't, well, you've got
the rest of the month, three weeks, to let your voice be heard!!!

Wow, serious vote split. If we had more time, there should be a runoff
of the top two, but we agreed that this vote was final, so it will be.

At this rate, perhaps they should all be the title, rotating
once per issue, with the "newsletter of Grex" subtitle under all of
them.. :)

You know, "Tales From the Dungeon" should get less popular, if
the landlord is making the place a hell and a half.

Depermitted votes? All the vote files are readable, although there
are four that are empty--those would be people who went through the
voting process but voted no to all the alternatives. I assume those
are what you're referring to in the last line of your tally.
(The vote files were readable in the newsletter name election. I
hasten to add that, as usual, they're NOT publicly readable in the
current board election--that's being conducted by secret ballot.)

In your first listing of the vote count part way through the process
you indicated there were 4 "depermitted votes". Since there were 4
emply files, I assumed these were the same things. I just did a copy
and paste of the name list from the earlier response, and just updated
the counts. If depermitted votes were something else, what were they?

They were vote files that weren't world-readable.

What he said. When I did the "partway" listing, there were four times that
Grex told me that I could not access the file. *shrug*
