hooooGAN! hooooooooooGAN!

You know, I saw a bit on Klemper on A&E or something. He was a Jew, may have
been a holocaust survivor. He only agreed to play that part if he was given
free reign to play him as he wanted to. Turned out to be one of the
consistently funniest characters on TV, IMHO.

I thought it was the actor that played Sgt. Schultz who was Jewish.

Werner Klemperer, everyone's favorite TV Colonel, was best known for his role
as the bumbling Colonel Wilhelm Klink on the former "Hogan's Heroes (1965)"
(1965 to 1971). Although he'll forever be known as the commandant of Stalag
13, Klemperer, a Jew, actually fled Nazi Germany in the 1930s and served in
the U.S. Army during World War II. Klemperer only agreed to do the sitcom if
producers promised never to have Klink succeed in his schemes. The now
renowned role earned Klemperer four Emmy nominations while taking home the
trophy two times in 1968 and 1969. Since the end of Hogan's, Werner Klemperer
carved out an accomplished musical career as a conductor and also served as
a narrator with many major U.S. symphony orchestras. He was an accomplished
concert violinist.

You guys (133-136) are all correct. The following characters were played by
Jewish actors:

Klink (I think his family had to leave because of the Holocaust)
Lebeau (who actually spent time in a German prison camp when he was like 5)
Schultz (not sure when his family came over)
Burkhalter (who had to leave because of the Holocaust, and has now moved
    back to Austria)
Hochstetter (an American Jew)

(I know this because of a trivia question. I didn't believe the answer, so
  I did some research.)

The Klink character was originally supposed to be played pretty straight, but
as brighn said Klemperer insisted on playing him as a moron, with good
results.

Of course, if you know that -7%3 = -1 and you want -7%3 = 2, you just have
to create a subroutine to correct it. Then again, you could just write your
own subroutine and not worry about the preprogrammed functions:

do while modval < 0 or modval >= div
if modval < 0 then modval = modval + div else modval = modval - div
end while

There. End of issue. =}
