If abortion becomes illegal I intend to flagrantly violate the law and
have an abortion at every opportunity!

Re resp:107: If I move out, it won't be for that reason.
Actually, I think Roe v. Wade being overturned would be a political
disaster for conservatives, because it would eliminate the abortion
issue as a way to rally their base. It would also show that even if
you're not gay or black, your personal freedoms can still suffer if you
vote for conservatives.

re #127 there's a school of thought that if roe was overturned, and abortion
was subject to the laws of individual states, that you'd have a huge mess
You'd have abortion illegal in Indiana and legal in Illinois, and the courts
would be overflowing if they tried to enforce "going over state lines for
purposes of getting an abortion" laws. It would just never work on a state
by state basis, just as prohibition couldn't work that way. So Congress would
have to pass federal laws outlawing abortion nationally, which they wouldn't
do because they all have to get re-elected, and its hard to get elected
without the womens vote.
without a federal ban, eventually even conservative states won't want to raise
taxes to pay the massive court costs that would be involved in state abortion
bans.

It was until recently illegal for even raped teens in Ireland to go somewhere
else for a legal abortion. Spain was ahead of Ireland.

The thing is a state can't make it illegal for someone to cross state
lines into another state, for any reason. There were such laws long
ago, such as a law in some states that made it illegal for a man to
take a woman who was not his wife across state lines, even if she was
legal age. These laws were declared unconstitutional. An adult
citizen of the United States cannot be prevented by any state from
traveling to any other part of this country, unless he/she has been
charged with a crime. And it is not a crime for an adult to be
pregnant. An abortion could only be classified as a crime, if it were
illegal, after it happens.

Re: #130. The Catholic Church lost a lot of support in Spain over its support
