Some people don't get addicted to caffeine, alcohol, or nicotine, and some
do.

I dunno..I think its becoming more popular to get addicted to the insulin from
fast food(potato) than with beer.

Hmm, that may well be true. Good point. In the USA, anyhow. I think people's
fave addiction is still beer in the UK.

Six billion people are chemically
dependent on dihydrogen monoxide!

And that's not all.. The kids these days are all hooked on this stuff they
call "O2". In street slang they're known as "breathers."

I'm bummed because my mother was in a bad car accident last night,
nothing broken (except the car, probably totaled) but she is banged up
pretty good, got a concussion, lots of bruises from the seatbelt and
cuts from the windshield. She's awful sore but seems to be ok. (she's
80)

Wow, I hope she is okay, Steve. I'm glad she survived. How did the
accident happen?

she's much better today, but really sore. I found out last night her

Just a few minutes ago, Magnus appeared at the sunroom door, with a bird
in his mouth. (The sunroom has an exit into the backyard, and doors into
the family room). He was very adamant about bringing it into the main
part of the house. It was a female cardinal, alas, which we quickly
disposed of. This is his first kill, and I wouldn't be surprised if he
goes off for more, because he's been intrigued by birds since he was a
kitten. From now on, he's only going to be allowed outside at night.

He made not have been the culprit. The roommate who lives in the Anne
Room saw the bird this morning, dead. So I don't know if Magnus killed
it or not.

response 133 of 318: Mark Unseen   Jan 27 14:04 UTC 2006

So he may have just found it and decided to claim the kill? ;) It's not
too bad until he tries to bring a still live one back into the house-
Alex did that once. He got MOST cranky when I wouldn't let him in.

Heh, the Anne Room, I like that. Kind of the the Rose Room or Lincoln
Bedroom. :)

Is it possible the Loki Monster killed the bird?
