What can't we joke about this? I know you never treated me in this
manner brighn. We joke about everything around here, are we now

The line: killing "all these" useless males. Am I one? Will you say
I'm not just to get me off your back? Gerund fed the flames with his
suggestion that "useful male" is an oxymoron so it's not just you and
Meg. I just don't like the male-directed violence, and am asking that
it be stopped.
But, you are welcome to disagree, and to continue the vein. There are
other sorts of humor that don't touch people's sore spots, but since
you want to make these particular jokes, fine.

yes, this whole thing is a joke, and has been for many years, infact for
about 4 years. dan has known about it the whole time, nad knows if for a joke.
gerund, by now, has also gotten the joke. they all know that none of
us would do anything to hurt anyone, including males. yes, my mommy raised
me to be a good little women's libber, but it is only to a certain point.
males are useful. i firmly believe this. this world has been patriarchial for
too long for me not to believe that! i didn't mean to offend you, and i'm
sorry that i didn't get the chance to jump into this conversation earlier.

Well... maybe...
I know it's a joke. The same way the pubic hair on the Coke can was a joke
(in re: Thomas/Hill). Killing people with sporks? Of course not.
But jokes can still hurt... and I've mentioned this before to Anne.
(The world is NOT patriarchal: Bill Clinton is NOT my father, and Chelsea
will not inherit the presidency from him.)
*ah* A linguistic rant. I feel much better.
I'm still considering whether to add this back on my .cflist...
I'll check in now and then to see if I feel comfortable (and if
