As I mentioned earlier, I would be happy to provide piano
accompaniment for the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, if desired.
I'll also do a couple of solo piano rags.

Mary, when do you need to know what people are going to be performing?

Shouldn't you two rehearse *together* ahead of time?

Even improvisation requires a framework. I think rehearsing
would be a good idea. I've never provided musical accompaniment
to a theorem before and would imagine that aruba has never done
accompanied mathematics either. We're breaking new ground here,
folks.

OK, if remmers doesn't feel comfortable improvising, then perhaps we could
collect some hand percussion instruments and have a few people play in a "drum
circle" while aruba does his presentation. He'll need to provide some kind
of score for this, so that whoever does play behind him knows when to push
up the vibe a bit for a flashy step, then settle back until the next peak...

re 110: It's been suggested already. I don't think anyone has come forward.
I would, but I don't write poetry, and I don't have any that I really want
to read.

bucket. ;)

Re #108: Oh, I don't mind improvising. But that doesn't mean
there's no need to rehearse.

I'm planning to email everyone who volunteered to
perform, at the very end of May. So if you are
planning to participate just say so here or email
me now and I'll catch up with you later. (That last
sentence made me dizzy.)
More poetry would be very nice. We've got the room for
two hours, if we need it. And we can go over some if
necessary. But two hours is a lot of recital.
When ever I attend a cello recital my favorite part is
the little kids. So, since I'm making up the non-rules
here I'd like to invite any Grexer with a child who plays
an instrument to join us in performing. This might be
a nice change of venue from their usual recital format.

Regarding that first paragraph: If you've already said
so here no need to say so again. I'll tail back. ;-)

"verbalized" is said aloud, or sometimes put into words. I don't *think*
that's an adequate description.

"Verbed" is the conventional verb form of the noun "verb".
It flows much more nicely than "verbified" (imo).
