well, there seems to be a lot of interest in this guy. being the #100 entery
makes me feel that his death will be remembered, beacuse of his death,
and not beacuse of Niravana.

Matt's right, and too bad, because he already *would* have been remembered
for *Nirvana*, ...and by a lot more people if he could have hung in
there to live as long as some of my other favorite rockers.

By dying he got a lot of short-term attention from people whose basic
reaction to the news was "Kurt who??"

Y'know, many of the most popular music stars of the past century have killed
themselves, or died because of their lifestyle in their late twenties. Morri-
son, Hqdw3'2BSs{{|{ih{w#{?2{q{{_{q%ZVkt-X%I}{yM{_x_;?H=
Hendrix (I think). Am I the only one who see's this as being a little odd?

i hope that Nirvana goes on without Kurt. I would really miss their music,
even though it won't be the same without Kurt's lyrics.

I absolutely LOVE the ad in Metro Times that shows a picture of Kurt and says:
"Welcome to the Stupid Club...from Jimmy, Janice, Jim and Sid!" hahahahahaha!

Syd Barrett, ex-Pink Floyd, is still among the living. It is generally
reported that he is in the care of his family, and he is *very*
confused -- a genuine drug casualty.
Sid Vicious, ex-Sex Pistols, committed suicide subsequent to his murder of
his girlfriend Nancy Spungen.
According to the pop press, Courtney Love (Mrs. Cobain) wanted to play
Nancy in the movie version, but she had to settle for a small role as
a junkie. Creepy.
