I dont think George Bush has done anything to impress me. I really get
the feeling that he kind of landed where he is without too much effort.
I can totally understand that. I pretty much landed where I am without
too much effort. I dont think I would be where I am if it werent for
the support of my family. Bush just happens to have a family with a lot
of political and economic power. His becoming president is about as
impressive as Ted Kennedy becoming a senator.

twinkie, I daresay bhelliom's expertise on the nature of the quality of Ivy
League education is similar to yours. And similar to mine, and similar to
jamie's. so quit acting like an expert while criticizing other sfor acting
like experts. Blow it out your cornhole.
And 101 indicates to me that you're really just here to Clinton-bash, and you
don't have that much stock in Bush. Actually, I think you're just trolling,
and putting more effort into it (barely) than polytarp.

I'm not here to Clinton-bash. As I've said all along (and as you've ignored
all along) I'm just pointing out that the other team's player is no better.
I don't need to have full confidence in Bush to have zero confidence in
Clinton.
But comparing me to polytarp...that was just hurtful. NOW who's trolling?

who care what confidence you have in CLinton. he's not president anymore. he's
not even the pther team's player. elections aren't going on. bash some dems
at least who are in office right now, cupcake.
the most recent thing that has pissed me off about bush is that this whole
gov't restructuring thing has really not been explained very clearly. it seems
vague, and not very fleshed out. bush's speech was vague, uninformative, and
sounded more like and advert than an outline of a plan. then he asks us to
urge our reps to say yes, when we really don't know the specifics.
imagine the pres of grex says "i propose we restructure things around here
to increase security and keep assholes out of here. it'll be great, please
vote yes." don't you think members would want to have a bit of a discussion
about it? while most people i'm sure would be for more security and less
assholes, it doesn't mean an automatic yes vote. and those that would vote
no due to the lack of information would then be pro-'terrorosm'?

I didn't really see a need to go after Levin, Lieberman, Hillary Clinton, or
other totally loopy Lefties. I'd save that for a "Let's bash all Republicans!"
item.

Re: 96 and 104#
I know about Harvard's system because I attained my first graduate
degree there, and I was a freshman proctor. I worked closely with the
Freshman Deans in that role. I had to be knowledgeable of the school's
curriculum as a student as well as from the position of an
administrator. And I've mingled enough among students attending grad
or professional schools when tryin to decide if wanted to continue
there. My knowledge of the other schools comes from researching
graduate schools, and learning about the system from fellow grad
students that attended those institutions and fellow college students
who are attending grad school at those same universities. I'm by no
means an "expert." I'm simply coming at it from someone who's been
there, nothing more.
Oval, is it one of those natural keyboards, or just simple "getting to
know my equipment" difficulties?

My #58:
Beond that, #49 is amusing given that you want to bash Clinton for one
alleged
mistake 20+ years ago, but you don't want to allow Bush-bashing for an
equally
aged mistake. Personally, I think both issues are silly. Bush and Clinton
are
both power-hungry recovering addicts.
Hm. Yes, you're right, I've ignored your point the whole time. I never once
suggested that Clinton is anything other than a saint. See, that's what I call
people who are really, really cool: "Power-hungry recovering addicts."
Sheesh, twinkie, learn to read.

"Power-hungry recovering addicts"? Wait, that's m... oh, no, guess I
was mistaken.
Funny how people love to grouse about politicans but don't take a hard
look at themselves. In some ways, they are reflective of the society
at large.
Anyway, it's lobby groups that really screw us over. Socialized
medicine won't happen because the AMA is too powerful.

Come to think of it, that's why Boeing moved their corporate office
from Seattle to Chicago. Illinois has seasoned veteran senators right
now. Washington does not. They moved to make sure the politicans
took care of them.

That statement is incorrect. However, the Moselm calendar is.
