Its to show off conferencing, thats why. In time, there will be this
neat hall, so to speak, with all thee really neat doorways into strange
rooms that people can go in and look at if they want.
Does that make (some) sense?

Its a "conference sampler", then. There is some point in having that
for newusers to have a condensed look at what shows up around the
conferences. But for that purpose, it should be kept small. When all
the "best" has been archived there for a while, it will be bigger than
most conferences, and the point will be lost.

It's also a good place to save excellent items from old agoras, after
the old agoras have been deleted and taken off-line.

I've added anne and andyv as fair witnesses of the archive conference
and removed remmers. So the current fw list is carson, anne, andyv, and
me. I plan to bow out, too, some time soon.

Re #103: "excellent items" is, of course, a subjective choice - so the
archive will of necessity be a subjective collection. Many agora items
get linked to "permanent" cfs, so archiving is taking place that way.
These are just some observations. Anyone can, of course, create their
private archive of cf items (and probably some due). The archive cf
will just be a public private collection. I'm not complaining, by
the way (though I am sure any archive enthusiast might think so), but
just discussing the concept. The best use I see is, as I mentioned,
providing a "sampler" of items from many cfs, for newusers to read -
and keep it short, and maintained. By the way - how about calling it
The Attic?

I anyone sees anything which would be a candidate for the archive, let me
know. I agree it could be a junk heap of special interests. It is rether
empty now.
