I hope you can leave the old conference up for a while. I've got
some major catching up to do...

I believe that concern can be met - it didn't dawn on me that
old-coop would disappear at the time of the restart./
In fact, I don't think it ever has, even agora sticks around
for a while.

So, will there be a "to access the previous edition, type.." message,
then, at the beginning of the new coop?

The old version of the conference will be available for about
two weeks after the new version is up. The date where its
availability is no longer guaranteed will be posted in both
version's login. After that date the conference might stick
around for quite some time but it may also be removed without
notice. Also, any text entered past the announced date will
not show in any archived version I keep.
Does that help?

That's what I was asking. Could the conference be left online
for at least a few weeks? I'm not sure just when I'll be able to
catch up on all of the items I'd like to read.

The new version of Co-op will show sometime next weekend.
A little early. Like spring weather, maybe?

Really. You know the old saying: If you don't like the weather in the
midwest, wait a day.

How do people feel about just keeping old co-op conferences on-line?
I think this one is only around 3 megs...that's less than a dollar's
worth of disk space, not counting the electricity to keep it spinning
in circles indefinitely. Seems like it would probably be of interest
to a few people in the future. I realize such a "disk is cheap"
attitude can quickly get out of hand, but co-op seems to be of more
historical interest than most other conferences would be.

The /bbs partition, which contains all the conferences, grows *very*
slowly and is in no immediate danger of running out of space. If space
becomes an issue, we will have alot of advance warning and will be able
to deal with it. I see no problems leaving it, we still have summer agora
on line. If space becomes an issue, we can remove it then.

I've got them archived on my hard drive and on floppies.
Send blank disks and they're yours.

Re 111: Actually, that saying is pretty irrelevant to me;
I'm not IN the midwest !! But I am in Blacksburg, VA, and
we have the same saying !!!

I downloaded (for archival purposes) this version of Co-op today.
So don't go and say anything important now.
Anyone else who feels inclined to grab their very own copy should do so.
Redundancy is a good thing.
