I won a Mac Mini! What next. . . ? Mark Unseen   Mar 19 22:43 UTC 2007

I won a Mac Mini, one month old (so it has 11 months warranty remaining) for
$115 less than retail. :) I am happy that I was not sniped for once! 1.66
GHz Core Duo, 1 GB RAM, 60 GB Hard drive, wireless keyboard and mouse. This
is my first Mac. Do they have the usual PC hidden costs, like anti-virus and
firewire software? Do I even need to worry about it? Also, can I run X11 apps
on Tiger? I need some kind of MS-compatible word processor, so I was thinking
of going with OpenOffice. . .

unsure on the OS stuff, as i hear, read, know
you dont really have to worry about antivirus, macs have so very few
viruses and such.
either way, thanks for the item creation, and have fun with the win!

I've used open office for several months now, and find it perfectly workable
even when sharing files with MS users.
