T-shirts, anyone?

Since the most recent meeting sparked conversation about new
merchandise, I thought it a good idea to recreate the item I posted in
late August/early September.
There are several little issues to iron out, and, I'm sure, a number of
points to be made regarding the logistics of this undertaking, including
the selling of the older merchandise, and how much of it should be sold
before we actually try to sell new "stock?" So many things to consider,
and so many ways to approach them, and potentially, many unique and
interesting opinions on it all. Rather than take up meeting time with
long discussions over this topic, why don't we continue it here?

If Gerx had either t-shirts or sweatshirts available in 2X right now,
I'd want one. If both were available, I'd take one of each. That is
to say, I'm interested.
What would interest me more is a good quality, heavy cotton t-shirt and
a medium-heavy sweatshirt. I'd much rather pay $10 for a good t-shirt
or $25 for a good sweatshirt than $7 for a cheap t-shirt or $15 for a
cheap sweatshirt. Grex should get some profit from the shirts. If
that rankles people enough, suggest a voluntary additional contribution
of $5 per shirt on the order form so those who want Grex to profit can
send extra money, and those who don't or are price-conscious don't have
to.
As far as design, as long as it's legible and has current connection
information, I'll bite. I didn't particularly like the figlet shirt
(with "Grex" in ASCII graphics) but I didn't particularly object to it,
either. I'd prefer something with more solid letters, but if others
prefer something like the figlet shirts, it's not enough to turn me
away from buying one.
And lastly, I cannot design anything, and am not good at organizing.
I'm a strictly back seat driver. I'm quick on the draw from my
checking account which is the only reason I can think of why anyone
should pay attention to me on this subject.
