Minutes from September s Board Meeting

Present: STeve, aruba, gelinas, denise, unicorn, drew, and via phone 
connection, cross.

Meeting bought to order; first item of business was voting for officers.
 Results:
     Chair-STeve
     Treasurer-Marc
     Secretary-Denise

Treasurer report per Marc:
     Balance through July: $6,580
     [monthly bills/costs of $150]
Membership: 45, 28 of which are current; reminders to be sent to the 
others about                       
      renewal.
     
Discussions:

--Election needed to replace board memberJanc; gelinas will set this up 
and post to          
   grex.

--Consider increasing/decreasing size of board depending  on membership 
base.

--Where does Grex want to go in the future?
   -Mail issues
   -operating system upgrades
   -getting people to help with various aspects of grex
   -telnet/BSD, upgrade on open BSD

STeve talked about the idea of forming Grex 2.0 as well as having a 
 Town Hall  sort of meeting in the near future. I ll let Steve go into 
more detail about this.

Next meeting: Tuesday, October 7th, Denise s house at 7 pm
