I'll be in the Renton River Day's Parade. Actually, I might be leading it
as the flag bearer but in either case my VFW Post will be at the front. This
year, we're going to have a flatbed truck for the older guys that can't hobble
the whole 2 miles. As an added bonus though, we're going to have our Post
Commander and Rory Dunn in a convertible with some seagals
(www.seattleseagals.com)
To read more about Rory:
http://www.issaquahpress.com/main.asp?Search=1&ArticleID=2643&SectionID=8
After the parade, we'll have a 10x20 tent amongst the sea of booths all
weekend to hand out some refreshments and possibly get new members to our
Post, Ladies Auxiliary or Men's Auxiliary. (The Men's Auxiliary is a new
addition to our post and the only one in the whole Pacific Northwest. You
can join it if you have a close relative that is a war veteran.)
We'll have a bagpipe drum & bugle corp procession at the VFW Post in the
afternoon followed by lots of food for the public, etc. It should be super
duper fun.
More info on the whole shindig is at:

I will be singing in the upcoming Art Fair Song Fest next week. There
will be 3 noontime concerts on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, plus
evening concerts on Thursday and Friday. Admission is free for all
concerts except Friday. All concerts will be at Kerrytown Concert
House. Here's the web page describing the Fest: http://www.
kerrytownconcerthouse.com/calendar/default.asp?v=d&d=7/21/2005
My performance will be on the Friday, 12 noon, concert. I will be
singing a set of arias about Ariadne, the mythological figure who saved
Theseus from the Minotaur, and then was later abandoned by him on a
deserted island. Her story has inspired many composers over the years,
and I will be singing arias from four different centuries.

I will be performing my famous couch potato impression for the next
several days. It's been quite a while since I've had the opportunity to
do this performance so don't miss it.
Hmm. Maybe I should start the "Grexers NOT on stage" item...

That's funny because I almost posted "I will be performing my infamous "Dance
of the Vacuum Cat Terror tonight in my living room - admission is free,
refreshments provided".

I will be the opening act at the Ark tomorrow night, opening for John
McCutcheon, Tom Paxton, Cheryl Wheeler and Michael Cooney.
I opened for the Ark last night, also, as Matt Watroba's duet-ist.
