yeah I've seen Breakthru three times but I didn't like 'em much, I only saw
Corruption Comittee twice and they weren't very good or nice either, S.D.D is
definitely one of my favorite bands as is Nadsat Nation but they don't play
very often anymore. I oops damn forgot to hit return didn't I? well anyway I
saw Carpe Noctum at Commstock last year but I barely remember them.....JAKS is
quite possibly my favorite local band tho I have only seen them a couple of
times, they came back from Chicago not too long ago, their 7" is still
available and highly reccomended by me.

I'm pretty sure Jaks are in North Carolina. I have friends in the band
Moan Dog, i think they're pretty decent, but I'm biased there ; ). Morsel
puts on a good show and they've good feed back flute playing which is
unusual. I havn't seen them in a bout a year. Actualy i havn't seen much
music since the lab was closed down <sigh>.

Concert tonight. Can't remember where or who's playing, but it's a WCBN
thing. Starts at 9pm, doors open at 8pm, Grex meeting at 7pm... ;)

Oh yeah, I heard that The Corruption Crew supposedly got booed and when they
were finished, Jason said something like "We're better than MAGWA".
Magwa might not be too good, but they're trying.
I am still holding my opinion til I hear these guys.

Supposedly their FIRST time out was much better, although more disorganized.
Here's hoping Jason drops his attitude.

rendition of "Billie Jean" and "funky Town". I also really enjoy the
rock-a-billy stylings of the Lucky Haskins. #16-I've heard of Operation Ivy,
but Ivy?

I saw a band yesterday that goes by the name of Elliot. It was their first gig,
and they played the Halfway Inn (basement of East Quad). It was one of the more
enjoyable live performances I've seen in a while. I can hardly remember any of
the song titles, and it was sort of difficult to make out all the lyrics. They
seemed influenced by bands such as REM, Cracker, Indigo Girls, and the (MIA)
Stone Roses. Two guitarists, a bass player, a drummer, and a singer composed
the oddly named band. I heard that they went by another name with another
drummer, but that they changed the name when they changed drummers. If anyone's
into this "new-alternative" scene, they'd enjoy this band. I'll keep an eye out
for future appearances. Of course, maybe they sounded good because of the
sompany I was with. :)

I meant company... maybe that's why no one in party understood what I was
talking about... :) still keeping my eye open.. wait: about a month ago, I was
in Tower when I heard this really smooth jazzy rap song over the broadcast
speakers. I asked the guy at the counter if it was the new Ed O.G. album (the
only one that came to mind that might *possibly* be it). He said no, that it
was a group called Black Poet Society. he said they were out of Ypsilanti.
Well, I don't usually do such a thing, but I bought the album right then and
there, listened to it once, and haven't heard it since. I'll go listen to it in
a few hours and let y'all know what I think of them there Ypsitucky boys.
