I'm getting the message
    Bad parameters near ""
when I enter Fall Agora. Then I don't get the conference banner
until I issue an "r" command.

I got it also. Probably just a 'feature'.

response 5 of 283: Mark Unseen   Sep 23 12:47 UTC 1997

I have reason to believe that this "feature" is a conspiricy perpetrated
by beings of another world. I believe they want to distract us with the
so called "feature" in order to take over Grex, and eventually the planet.
They MUST be stopped at all costs!

Why is it that we never hear about the effects of the benificent aliens?

(Probably the media's fault.)

(I'm a beneficient alien, I just don't like to advertise it)

I love it when this item degenerates in to silliness. It means the
system is running nicely.

<steve goes on a frenetic rampage and dials 3000 unsuccessfully, receiving
line noise and warranting a complaint>

response 19 of 283: Mark Unseen   Sep 28 15:12 UTC 1997

Actually, not so weird. I need to reprogam the first 2 modems on 3000 to be
error-correcting, but haven't done so yet.

response 20 of 283: Mark Unseen   Sep 28 16:51 UTC 1997

I actually tend to jump for joy when I *don't* get line noise from
modems on -3000. Of course, I've been doing so quite a bit lately...

scott

time for me to fix that, I guess.

response 22 of 283: Mark Unseen   Sep 29 04:55 UTC 1997

i don't get line noise, i just frequently get a failutre of the modems to
match speeds, even after repeated attempts and term resets and interrupts,
etc...

Ok, backtalk looks nice. It certainly edits nice, yes!
But, whenever I ask for the "itemlist" at Agora it takes hours to get there,
and I never know which items I'm in by heart, and reading all items would be
a tad bit too much for me to deal with.
next to that there doesn0t seem to be some sort of "menu" option like the
classic BBS has. Or am I severely mistaken here?
