What _non-musical_ sound is going on in the background right now?

Train whistle at the end of the Beach Boy's "Pet Sounds" is
playing as I type.. Other than that, nothing but the sound
of my keyboard clicking and my computer fan humming..

My co-worker snuffling (he has allergies big time), computer keyes clicking,
fan running, me munching Frosted Flakes, and some weird crinkly noise,
which I just figured out is his computer booting up.

Copier fan, jet overhead, coffee maker down the hall, a little piano/vocal

ESPN on the telly, which is about the only sound you'll hear this
early in this apartment.

Dan! Another great item! :)
Seven or eight different printers, running at the same time at different
speeds, with different pitches.
A moderately quiet sea of keyboards clicking (I am in the middle of a 200
terminal computer lab).
A low chatter of voices, of different volumes, pitches, and languages.
The barely discernable squeak of the main doors to the lab, and the crash when
they slam shut.
Intermittent bursts of yelling or laughter.
The prompt <DING!> of the other power Macs around me.
Three people have coughed since I started this entry (that I've heard).
A lab assistant's keys jingling as she walked by.
Wow! I never realized how noisy this lab was!
