Subject-line spam filter Mark Unseen   Aug 5 16:37 UTC 2006

I have suggested a simple system-wide filter on the subject lines of common
spams, the sort that don't mutate, until staff can come up with something
better such as spamassassin (which has never given me a false positiv with
***). Please report spams that you have received several of with the same
subject lines over the course of at least a week.

1-4 inches makes a massive difference Women will love your new figure

There were a much smaller number of mutating subject lines such as 'Your cash,
onion mildew' and'Hi, neural cavity' and 'Melanie'. And some first-timers such
as 'Check with your agent' and 'Re: Your gold & diamonds'.

Is there anything on the above list that might sometimes NOT be spam, such
as the eBay thing?

About 90% of these were the repeating type, in my experience. I got at least
five Re: - is this sometimes real mail?
