Cyberspace Communications finances for August and September 2005 Mark Unseen   Oct 3 03:44 UTC 2005

Here is the treasurer's report on Cyberspace Communications, Inc. finances 
through September 30th, 2005.  This is a combined report for August and
September.

Beginning Balance     $3,374.88

Credits                 $216.00         Member contributions

Debits                  $200.00         Provide Net colocation (thru 10/22/05)

Ending Balance        $3,297.16

Our current balance breaks down as follows:

$3,123.17               General Fund
  $173.99               Silly Hat Fund

The money is distributed like this:

$1,398.41   Checking account
$1,898.75   Savings account earning 0.55% interest annually

We had no new members in August and September.  We are currently at 65 
members, 49 of whom are paid through at least October 15th.  (The others 
expired recently and are in a grace period.)

Notes:

- Your treasurers were very remiss in August and September, so no reminders 
were sent, and not much else done besides.  We are very sorry.  Hopefully 
things will be back on track now.

I finally got around to spending the hour it took to navigate Seagate's
RMA system, so I could send back the disk that failed last spring.  I
mailed it this morning.  It's under warranty, so we should receive a
replacement.

Grex received its replacement disk on Monday.  It's in my living room now.
It looks brand new to me, but I don't know how to tell whether a disk has
been rebuilt.

I can't find one, but now that I examine the label, I see that it says
"Seagate certified repaired HDD".  So I suppose I answered my own question.

yeh, in two places: seagate certified repaired  and   factory repaired seagate
show up on the label.
