The "When was that board meeting again?" item Mark Unseen   Apr 21 02:49 UTC 2002

Since the last board meeting didn't achieve a quorum, I'm entering this item for two purposes:

  • 1. To schedule the next meeting

  • 2. To create a way for anyone with a computer, a web browser and a connection to the internet to quickly and easily check the date, time and location of the next Grex Board of Directors meeting.

Here's how we do it. I propose that we schedule the next board meeting for Thursday 16 May 2002. Everyone else on the board looks at their calendars and indicates whether this is agreeable to them, and if not, then we pick a new date and try again.

As for part two, save the following URL where you can easily find it:
http://www.grex.org/cgi-bin/backtalk/peek:coop:99:$

When you open the above URL, you will see the most recent response in this item. What I plan to do, after we complete the scheduling of the next meeting, is to enter a response containing the Date, Time and Location of that meeting, and then freeze the item until the following board meeting is either scheduled or needs to be scheduled online. That way, the last response in this item will always provide the meeting information just by using the link above.

Ok, here we go!

39 responses total.

STeve won't be in Michigan on May 16, Dayton Hamvention that weekend, we go
down Thursday, i.e. he picks me up as soon as class is out and off we go (car
packed Wednesday night). Convention site opens early Friday morning and it's
be there early or no place to park and a great deal may be snapped up by
someone else.

How about 15 May? Anyone have conflicts for that day? (It's a
Wednesday.)

It should be no big deal to stick it right on the main page.

May 15th is also fine by me.

response 9 of 39: Mark Unseen   Apr 22 15:07 UTC 2002

Both the 15th and 16th have conflicts for me. The 16th would be easier to
work around.

Both the 15th and 16th work for me.

Sounds like neither is going to work for everyone, though. Eric, what's
your next suggestion?

Wednesdays are bad, unless it's later in the evening (say after 9P).
Semislug thursday is also bad. I think the 16th is a semislug thursday.
The last semislug was april 11th. So of those 3 dates, thursday the
23rd is best for me. Tuesday is fine for me, if it can end before
9:15p. Mondays and fridays are normally conflict free. I'd like to go
to the dayton hamvention too -- not sure how that works into the above.
