1. Opening Gavel - 7:30 pm

See report for details. 95 current members.
Personal property tax assessment is at $116 for 2001.
4. Staff report
Staff hasn't had a meeting in eons and has one scheduled
in a week or so.
Jan installed 6 new 4GB disks, not all of which are
activated yet. Also several software updates and MySQL.
Some phone lines have failed and been repaired by Ameritech.
5. Publicity Committee
bhelliom volunteers to run the Grex store. Board approves.
valerie proposes the idea of running the Grex store through
cafepress.com. Discussion follows. Also some ideas about
offering a web front end to the store using the database
software Jan installed.
6. New Business
It is suggested that we establish a link from the Grex front
to the inventory of items we wish to sell off to reduce our
tax liability.

The meeting was longer than the minutes make it appear.
One thing I mentioned at the meeting that didn't make it into the minutes is
that while we usually get on the order of 4 or 5 new & returning members per
month, we had no new members in May, no new members in June, and only two
new members in July (that happened after the meeting).
