                        $589.08

Ending Balance $4,522.90

Our current balance breaks down as follows:

$3,958.36 General Fund
  $153.99 Silly Hat Fund
   $60.00 Spare Parts Fund
  $350.55 Infrastructure Fund

The money is distributed like this:

$1,164.10 Checking account
$3,358.80 Savings account earning approximately 0.75% interest annually

We had one new member in May (kip). We are currently at 79 members, 76 of
whom are paid through at least June 15th. (The others expired recently and
are in a grace period.)

Notes:

- Our rent went up as of June 1.

- We had a few more Next Grex expenses in May:

Item Amount From
---- ------ ----
2 Antec case fans 31.98 CompUSA
Arctic Silver thermal compound 14.99 CompUSA
Shipping of OpenBSD from Canada 3.58 Canada Post from Calgary
RMA shipping - motherboards 7.75 UPS to Asus (Atlanta)
RMA shipping - SCSI drive 8.05 UPS to NewEgg (California)
                                  -----
                                  66.35

We had to return the motherboards because of Leeron's (very
reasonable, given the confusing model numbers) ordering error. But he
didn't charge us the extra $10/each for the replacements he ordered
for us, so we paid the RMA shipping on the old ones and came out
ahead. Thanks Leeron! The SCSI drive was returned because we
accidently ordered one with the wrong connector on the back.

We still haven't received our refund for the SCSI drive we returned,
nor have we paid Leeron for the 3 replacements he ordered for us.
Expect to see those on the June report.

- Our Sony CD-RW drive included a rebate form to get $20 back from the
manufacturer. I filled it out, and voila, a check appeared in our
box.

- Grex suffered some downtime recently because its UPS batteries
failed. So we bought new ones. For future reference, they came
from:

Interstate All Battery Center
721 North Waverly Road
Lansing, MI 48917
(517) 886-5555

and the model number was SLA1075. They were $24.99 each, and our UPS
takes 4 of them.

Thanks to everyone who contributed in May:

aruba, atticus, bhelliom, charcat, dpfitzen, kip, nt, remmers, slynne,
and trh.

When I got to the box today, I found a refund check for $212.00 for the
drive we returned to NewEgg. Unfortunately they made it out to me instead
of to Grex, but I can figure out what to do with that.

newegg.com is an online computer hardware vendor. We bought two hard drives
from them, but had to return one because it had the wrong connector on the
back.
