There are dozens of party channels. I don't know why I can't have one.

No reason I know of. If I remember correctly, private party channels are
available for the asking, as soon as partyadm or other staff get to it.

Has this changed?

I've E_MAILED the partyadm, and NO_ONE responded! It would appear there IS
some reason.

I have posted a request in the staff conference that this request be
honored.

Please post the channel name and options you'd like. You can read the
man pages on party or enter :help in party to find out about the options
available. Posting your preferences here may facilitate a faster
response.

It's not a conspiracy, just a general lack of getting things done. Plus
there's been very little partyadm stuff in the last copule years, so nobody
is in the habit of following up on chanels and such.

But party is still actively used. SHouldn't a request by an active user of
party be well taken? Why aren't there newer party admins?

There does need to be some new partyadm people in my opinion.

I vote for naftee, myself, and jlamb.

Party is still used, but there isn't anywhere near the amount of channel and
noise activity that there used to be.

Exactly, because such media don't exist! It's true we need change. I support
polytarp's nominations.

I, in turn, fully support naftee's support.

Grex should give partyadm duties to TRUSTED individuals, while they are
selecting new staff members.

Eric Bassey has expressed an interest in the job, in at least two places.
He seems mostly motivated by the failure of existing staff to take care
of creating this party channel.

The requested channel has now been created.
