Ending Balance $5,250.64

Our current balance breaks down as follows:

$4,013.65 General Fund
  $152.99 Silly Hat Fund
   $60.00 Spare Parts Fund
$1,024.00 Infrastructure Fund

The money is distributed like this:

  $901.31 Checking account
$4,349.33 Savings account earning approximately 0.75% interest annually

We had one new member (shizbu) and two returning members (tod and mbusse)
in January. We are currently at 83 members, 74 of whom are paid through
at least February 15th. (The others expired recently and are in a grace
period.)

Notes:

- Scott bought some old disk drives in December, and removed them from the
Pumpkin in time for us to avoid paying taxes on them for 2003. I had
already closed the books on 2002 when he handed me the money on New Year's
Eve, so it appears on this report.

- STeve went through and updated the values of all our stuff in the
inventory database (http://www.cyberspace.org/~invent/index.cgi) (thanks
STeve!), and I filled out and submitted the forms to pay our 2002 personal
property tax. A lot of our stuff is worth less than it used to be, so my
estimate is that our tax bill will go down to about $80 this year. We
have to wait for the assessor's office to look at our return to find out
for sure.

Thanks to everyone who contributed in January:

ah3133, davel, falcon76, glenda, kami, mbroggy, mbusse, russ, scott,
shizbu, steve, tod, witling, and one person who wishes to remain
anonymous.

Thanks everyone!

I am working on sending out paper receipts for tax puposes to people who
want them. So, if you'd like a paper receipt for your contributions to Grex
in 2002, let me know.
