Fucking morons.
Some stupid thing, perhaps a daemon, has entered a file telling me that IRC is
only for members. However, whatever it is fails to notice several things: The
IRC server and client were for local matters, and an attempt to run a LOCAL IRC
server her
similarly to what I did on m-net. And another thing: WHAT IS WRONG WITH GREX?
IT DOES"NT RECOGNISE MY TERMINAL.
In conclusion, I demand a removal of the offending file, anbd restoration of my
property.

It's what staff does to all people who try to install their own irc stuff -
just like we do with people trying to install bots and bouncers.

Poly, I think you are perhaps forgetting that Grex gets hit on by people
trying
to do various things, constantly, and its a never ending battle trying to keep
the system running and the disks free of the random cruft that would otherwise
put all the partitions to 100%.
Running a local irc server is probably not very different from a wider
range one, looking at it from Grex's resources. I remember someone asking
about having a local IRC system once before, and it was probably me that
said no, we didn't allow IRC servers, but that any such policy was open
to user debate in coop. The person understood, and left. I think yuu've
been around long enough to understand the things that Grex can, and cannot
do.

Really? How deep are your pockets? It's *possible* some of the board
members might be susceptible to an appropriately sized bribe. I suggest
you start your efforts at $1million cash, and work your way upwards in
similar increments.
