the link would be nice. I rarely use the web to get to grex bbs, mainly
because its so slow- but it seems like too many clicks to get to the
conferences

I just bookmark my entrance page.

What about new users to the site?

I type one letter and hit enter and I get my conference list window and
another window with the list of current active items. Of course, I have
invested a little time in programming my own interface to backtalk, but
there you go...

What I meant is it would be nice to have a link to the conferences directly
from www.cyberspace.org. One click and a potential new user could see what
grex was all about, or at least what part of grex was all about.

(I doubt a person who surfs in will have access to other's handy little tool
 ;) )

Hey, leave my "handy little tool" out of this! ;)

(um, there ARE links to several conferences from the main page, with an
additional link to the full list. resp:5 seems to be based on inaccurate
information.)

What do you mean by "just login to Grex from the website"? ("Login" means
lots of different things, and there was a login screen on the website last
time I looked, so I'm wondering which meaning you are using. Looking for a
unix % prompt?)

(from the context, I gather that jp2 is referring to the process of clicking
on the "Read the conferences" link, then selecting from the Backtalk menu
to get to the 1st conference.  it's essentially a two-step process now;
Jamie apparently thinks it could and should be shortened to a one-step
process. my guess is that the link would look something like "Already a
user? Login here." that's fairly common on many sites, and not necessarily
a bad idea.)

(ok, I give. it's a REALLY good idea. right now, I do what gull does:
bookmark the entrance page. however, I'm not always at my own computer.)

Bug reports about abalone are better emailed to me than posted to an unlikely
place like coop.

Sorry for the problems. Unfortunately, it may be a while before I have
time to look at them.
